In the fabric of my life, the thread of passion for fashion and sewing is woven generation after generation. Coming from a family rooted in the textile world, my grandfather forged a legacy with his uniform company, and my parents contributed to the tapestry with a swimsuit brand. But my story unfolds in the needles of authenticity and courage.
After studying in two of the fashion meccas, Milan and London, at just 21 years old I decided to cut my own pattern and launch my brand from scratch. Inspired by my final year project, "DAMN SWEET" was born, a name that encapsulates the bold and unique spirit that I wanted to imprint on my new company.
Those early days of entrepreneurship were not without challenges. My grandfather, a sewing enthusiast, left an invaluable legacy: antique sewing machines that, with love and dedication, were revived to weave the dreams of "DAMN SWEET."
Each stitch was a tribute to their memory and a reminder of the strength that lies in tradition.
But my story is not only woven with threads and needles; It is a narrative of personal transformation. Always being "the chubby one in the class", shyness and complexes took over my existence. It was the sudden loss of my grandfather seven years ago that changed my perspective. The triviality of everyday problems became evident, and I decided to leave my insecurities behind. The revelation came from capturing my own beauty in bikini photos, challenging my own limits. From my personal Instagram, @lovtravl, @malditacurvy emerged, a space where my personal metamorphosis resonated with other women.
I never imagined that a few simple photos could trigger a confidence revolution.
Thus, "DAMN SWEET" grew as a natural extension of my journey of self-discovery. More than a bikini brand, it became a beacon of empowerment. With a fervent desire to make buying a bikini less of a hassle, I sought to create designs that not only embraced body diversity, but also instilled confidence in the wearer.
